Sometimes I think about what we fill ourselves up with during the day. Of course, I do need a cup of coffee in the morning to get the day started, however, I’m not talking about the physical things that we fill our bodies with, I’m talking about what do you fill your mind with each day. Do you fill yourself up with things that are positive or do you fill yourself up with things that are negative.
Most people tend to focus on the negative and worry about problems or issues that create stress and sometimes anxiety. How to change your mindset, focus on the positive things going on in your life takes some work, but it is well worth it. 🙂
Now my husband and I have a morning routine that works for us. We make our morning coffee, take time to talk about different things and then we do Bible study together. Most importantly, we pray together. I feel this is one of the biggest components in alleviating all negativity in a person’s life. With Jesus being the main focus in your life, He will always lead you down the correct path in life. As stated in Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.
Also, it says in Matthew 6:25-26
Ultimately, everyone has the opportunity to figure out what is best for your life. Given everything that we have faced during the past two years, I can truly say that having the Peace of the Lord through this all has been an amazing gift.
I know that I tend to write about cooking, crafts and wellness but during my prayer time, I felt led to write this which is an indication to me that someone who reads my blog needs to hear this.
Since this blog is about wellness, one thing for certain is that when you’re disorganized, it causes stress in your life. Stress causes a negative ripple effect in your health and mood. Physical issues such as high blood pressure, risk of stroke and heart attacks, obesity and diabetes are just a few. In terms of mood, stress can increase a person’s level of anxiety and symptoms of depression. How to become organized is a part of the puzzle that will alleviate stress.
One tip that may help is the simple process of writing things down. For me, I use a planner to help manage my week, write down things that I need to do and specific things that I need to remember. Using a planner to map out what meals you want to make for the week or times to exercise can in itself decrease stress.
I actually have this one section in my planner that I’m thinking of using it for a brainstorming page for things for my business, my blog, new recipe ideas and so on. Other ideas include writing down short terms goals that you want to focus on whether it be for the month, the week or just for that day.
One thing to keep in mind is a great quote:

Hoping that you had an amazing start to your New Year!!! We had our first snowfalls of the season this week and simply stated, it was beautiful!!! It’s so relaxing to watch the snow fall and enjoy how quiet it is as snowflakes gently land on the ground.
Learning ways to take time out in your day to relax and enjoy the moment is a way to Achieve Complete Wellness. Whether it’s watching the snow fall, spending time cooking, exercising, reading a good book or spending time on your favorite hobby, taking time to relax is vital to relieve stress.
So, this week set aside a couple minutes for yourself each day to be in the moment and relax!!!!

One of our New Year’s Eve traditions is making a classic Italian dish – lasagna!!! It takes a little time to make it but it’s well worth it. An added bonus is that we have enough left overs to have for dinner tonight!!! Lol!!! 🤣🤣🤣
New Year’s Day is a day to relax, enjoy our morning coffee and reflect on things that we want to achieve in 2022. There’s a great saying by Napoleon Hill that states, “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe it will achieve.” One great thing to start in 2022 is to write down your goals that you want to achieve this year because by writing your goals down, you hold yourself accountable to achieving them. Personally, I use my planner to write my goals and other tasks in.
So, here’s to the beginning of a fantastic New Year 2022!!!
While drinking my coffee this morning, I started thinking about the importance of relaxation. It’s easy to forget to take time for yourself and recharge your batteries. We get so busy focusing on the day to day activities that we forget what’s truly important. First and foremost, taking time each day to thank the Lord for everything He has done for us and giving us another day is a start. Taking time to be with your spouse, enjoying nature that’s around you, cooking, baking, or working on your favorite hobby are other ways to relax.
For me, one of my favorite hobbies is crocheting. Being able to make a scarf for my husband, a baby blanket for a friend or just crocheting to have that last minute gift is enjoyable to me. Now that fall is here, I tend to crochet more as it gets colder. For some reason during the summer, my husband and I enjoy gardening so we are outside a lot and the crocheting slows down. Now that fall has arrived, out comes the yarn, my crocheting needles and a blanket that I’m working on. So, today, take a moment and relax and know that by taking some time for relaxation, it has many health benefits. There are many health studies that show that by taking time to relax each day, you significantly reduce your risk of heart disease amongst many other health benefits. So, in conclusion, as today is the first day of a great weekend, take time to enjoy it and find what helps you relax!!!!!
On the 15th. Anniversary of 9/11, I wanted to take a moment take pause and remember all the lives lost that day. To the families who lost a loved one, my heartfelt condolences and prayers are sent out. Today we not only honor the lives lost, the first responders who have permanent health issues from that day and those who continue to fight for our lives and freedom.
There is a little crisp feeling in the air today and I thought to myself….”ahh, the beginning of fall.” I absolutely love the fall and all the feelings that the start of a new season brings. I immediately start thinking about fall recipes, pumpkins, pumpkin spice lattes, crocheting scarves, the leaves changing colors and so on. I start putting up the fall decorations, search my recipe file for my favorite soup recipes and pumpkin recipes. It is such an amazing feeling!!!

I also sit and think about how amazing God is and how he has created everything the surrounds us. So today, just take a moment to take in all that the beginnings of fall brings. Go outside, take a deep breath and thank God for all that he provides for us. Start a gratitude journal today and write down three things that you are grateful for and see how your positive thinking will increase.
So, here is to the joy that beginning of fall brings……..now go out their and enjoy it!!!
