Two More Days Til Christmas πŸŽ„ Peppermint Cookies

Peppermint Cookies

Happy Christmas Eve Eve!!!!! The Christmas lights are on and we are enjoying our tree today. One of the last things that we do after putting the decorations on our tree is place candy canes all around it. Of course, if you have a person who has a sugar tooth, you will notice that the candy canes slowly seem to disappear before Christmas!!! 🀣🀣🀣🀣 So before they are all gone, take couple off the Christmas tree and make this amazing cookie recipe!!!!!

3/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup salted butter, softened

1 large egg

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract

1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon cream of tartar

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 cup crushed mini candy canes or
peppermint candies

1/4 cup sugar

STEP 1 Heat oven to 350Β°F. Spray cookie sheets with Pam Baking Spray or line your pans with parchment paper; set aside.

STEP 2  Combine 3/4 cup sugar, butter, egg, vanilla and peppermint extract in bowl; beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Add flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt; beat at low speed until well mixed. Stir 1/4 cup crushed candy into dough.

STEP 3  Stir remaining 1/4 cup crushed candy into 1/4 cup sugar.
